I. City of Centerville Permit - Bald EagleWaterski Club, It was noted that the Bald <br /> Eagle Waterski Club has agreed to pay the City $2,500 in September, 2014 and <br /> again in 2015. It is assumed that the $5,000 is to be applied to the purchase of the <br /> St Paul Water District land that abuts Trailside Park and Centerville Lake. <br /> 2. 5K/8K Run. Committee Chair Branch informed the Committee that he was late in <br /> the annual efforts to set up the races and to solicit community sponsors for the <br /> event. Committee Chair Branch asked for the assistance of Committee Members <br /> to agree to take leadership for specific race related functions. The Committee <br /> Members rapidly agreed to do . <br /> VI. UPDATES <br /> 1. Council Updates - see Committee Business Item 41. <br /> 2. Music-In-The-Parks/Jam Update. Last night was the first of the 2014 season. There <br /> was a fair turnout. However, the Committee needs to continue to work on <br /> publicizing the concerts. <br /> 3. Anoka County Chain of Lakes - Bald Eagle Regional Trail Master Plan: Committee <br /> Member Bettinger distributed an update master plan via e-mail this afternoon. The <br /> trail location has been changed to transit through Lino Lakes park land know as Birch <br /> Park. There will be a second public meeting at Wargo Nature Center June 24, 2014. <br /> 4. Flag Football Tournament — Saturday, May 31 was cut short by heavy rains in mid- <br /> afternoon. The tournament organizer and the three team captains agreed not to <br /> continue the tournament. There is a second tournament on the schedule for August <br /> 9-10. The event organizers will need to submit a special use permit for that event. <br /> 5. Basketball Hoops - Committee Member Peterson present three options of basketball <br /> standards that could be used. No firm decisions were made, however the committee <br /> is in general agreement that to have a safe basketball court on the hockey rink will <br /> require the most robust standard available. <br /> VII ACTION ITEM REVIEW <br /> No new action items were added. The Committee agreed to close the following action <br /> items: 14- 014 NHS Volunteers Thank You Letter, 14-015 Permits <br /> Regarding Action Item 14-016 - Park Use Application forms - Uniformity. The <br /> Committee continues to believe the Special Permit and Park Usage forms are confusing as to <br /> which form applies to any given activity. The Park Usage form was put in place to give the <br /> public a simplified form instead of the long complexity of the special use form. Those two <br />
