Discussion ensued regarding Mr. Larson's desired completion of a full-time work schedule being October 1, 2014, necessity of 60 days' notice for PERA notification of phased retirement and a new Administrator's ability to determine usefulness of continuing contract. Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member F-ehrenbacher to approve the Agreement for Phased Retirement of City Administrator Dallas Larson with a commencing -date of October 1, 2014 as presented. All in favor. Mgtion carried. X. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES Administrator Larson stated that he had met with representative from St. Paul Water and discussed the asking price for the property abutting Trailside Park and the smaller piece just north of that parcel. Administrator Larson stated that St. Paul Water gave tentative approval of the City's offer of $7,500. The purchase will be finalized around the end of 2014, or very early in 2015. Administrator Larson suggested that the City Councils of Circle Pines and Centerville (remaining Centennial Fire District members) should have a joint meeting and would like to invite firefighters to discuss the future of the District, their roles, etc. in an attempt to put them at ease. Administrator Larson stated that the proposed date is July 16 at 6:30 p.m., and, due to the size of the group, the meeting would be in Circle Pines City Hall. Administrator Larson also stated that an agenda would be provided prior to the meeting. Consensus of the Council was that the proposed meeting time will work for everyone. Council Member King stated that Comcast has requested transfer of its franchise and the North Metro Telecommunications Commission's attorney would be reviewing the submitted documents. Council Member Paar stated that there would be a Fire Steering meeting the following evening where they would be discussion equipment costs. Mayor Wilharber stated that the City had received notification from the contractor working on the Park-n-Ride/21" Avenue that they desired to extend their working hours to 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. week days and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. due to adverse weather that has been experienced. Mayor Wilharber stated that Council would begin the scheduled Work Session following the Council meeting and a 5 minutes break. Motion by Council Member Kinp, seconded by Council Member Paar to A+ journ the regularly scheduled p.m. Council meeting at 7:18 p.m.. All in favor. Motion passed.
