The City Council recognizing that the costs to connect could be difficult to manage, has offered a longer repayment term for those that might like a lower annual payment. Thus, you have an additional option to extend the term from 15 years out to 25 years. The interest rate for the longer term is 5.25%compared to 4%for the shorter term.The longer term would reduce the annual payment by about $150 per year. While this may not change your mind, we wanted to tell you about the decision,in case it makes a difference to you. The bid prices are reasonable and all costs can be specially assessed to your property over a period of several years.If you select this option,we will provide you with a document that will outline the costs and on which you would express your agreement to be specially assessed.
