City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> July 23,2014 <br /> Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member King to both Special <br /> Assessment Agreements for Flood Study, Lake Area Utilities & Muellner Blacktop as <br /> presented. All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> 4. Res. #14-025 —Establishing Parking Restrictions on CSAH21/Centerville Road <br /> Administrator Larson stated that this is standard protocol with county road reconstruction <br /> projects and the restriction would one block downtown, north of Sorel. <br /> There was concern for future downtown redevelopment and potential for needed parking. <br /> Administrator Larson stated that this would be discussion at that time but is not needed currently. <br /> Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Paar to adopt <br /> Res. #14-025 — Establishing Parking Restrictions on CSAH21/Centerville Road as <br /> presented. All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> 5. 2014 Goals Statement <br /> Administrator Larson stated that he had added #4. Hire New City Administrator and that the <br /> goals center around attracting commercial development, sale of City owned property and <br /> collaborating with neighboring communities. <br /> Council Member King suggested that Fire District/Department be added. <br /> Motion by Council Member Fehrenbach, seconded by Council Member King to approve <br /> the 2014 Goals Statement as presented. <br /> Discussion ensued regarding the helpfulness of council goals to a potential candidate for the City <br /> Administrator position. <br /> All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> 6. City Agent <br /> Administrator Larson stated that most of the Council was aware that the Centennial Fire District <br /> was formed by a Joint Powers Agreement and within that agreement was a provision for a <br /> member City to withdraw, and the City of Lino Lakes has exercised their right and intends to <br /> form their own fire department. Administrator Larson stated that with the impending withdrawal <br /> distribution of assets must take place. Administrator Larson explained that the Fire District has <br /> inventoried all equipment and had it appraised, Mr. Keinath has been appointed by his City's <br /> Council to select equipment needed for the Circle Pines station and Dallas would like for <br /> Council to appoint him as the City of Centerville's agent to select equipment needed for the <br /> Centerville station. Administrator Larson stated that both he and Mr. Keinath had met with <br /> respective station chiefs and expect to have their equipment needs prioritized before the <br /> distribution date. <br /> Page 5 of 7 <br /> P5 <br />
