9/5/2014
City of Centerville-
My apologies, but I am unable to attend this meeting. I am teaching an EMT class for the fire
departments EMS program this evening.
Recently it has come up in a meeting and in conversation that the City of Centerville has their old fire
engine sitting in storage and possibly for sale. I am submitting the following proposal for the sale of the
engine.
The engine along with the tow behind cart would be sold for a price of$2500. Then engine would then
be restored to its original look and shine, with the Centerville Fire Department to remain on the engine,
along with restored equipment(currently on the machine). The engine would be in full working order
restored by both myself and outside sources. Upon completion of the restoration, the engine would be
available for all City and Centennial Fire functions with prior notification and scheduling that works for
both parties. The cart which is already in working order would be available now. These functions are
not limited to, but include parades and festivals.
This proposal gives full ownership to me, but to ensure that the history of the Centerville Fire
Department stays, it would be written in that if I leave the city and the fire department, the restored
truck would be offered back to the city before anyone else.
Thank you
Matthew Montain
6709 Centerville Rd
Centerville, MN 55038
651-492-5979
14
