1. Council Updates - City Council Member King, after hearing the committee discussion and concern over the high estimates to put water fountains in the parks and the discussion regarding the need to trim park trees, suggested that the committee should request the City Council to add to the annual budget a line item for park improvements. He asked the committee for an estimate on the amount needed in such a line. Committee Chairperson Branch suggested the amount of$15,000 annually. The number suggested reflects the high cost of the water fountains, the cost of the sand volleyball court, the cost of the adding a basketball court and the desire to add irrigation systems to Hidden Springs, Cornerstone and Acorn parks. 2. The Committee pasted a motion to ask the City Administrator to raise the issue of a continuing park improvements line in the City Budget. 3. The Committee request that the Committee's Recording Secretary attach the prioritized list of proposal park improvements to each months committee meeting minutes.SEE THE NOV 2013 MINUTES. Meeting was adjourned at approximately 8:30 p.m.All in favor. Motion carried.
