City of Centerville Council Meeting Minutes September 24, 2014 2. September 10, 2014 City Council Work Session Meeting Minutes The Mayor provided Council Members with an opportunity to amend the presented minutes. Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher to approve the minutes of the September 10, 2014 City Council Work Session Meeting as presented. All in favor. Motion passed. 3. September 13, 2014, 2014 City Council Special Council Meeting Minutes The Mayor provided Council Members with an opportunity to amend the presented minutes. Mayor Wilharber requested that the spelling of Mr. Erickson be corrected to “Ericson”. Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member King to approve the minutes of the September 13, 2014 City Council Special Council Meeting as presented with the above stated amendment. All in favor. Motion passed. VII. CONSENT AGENDA 1. City of Centerville September 11, 2014 through September 24, 2014 Claims (Check #28966-28982) w/Voided Check #28972 & (Check #28983-28988) 2. Centennial Police Department Claims through September 11, 2014 (Check #10049- 10065) 3. Centennial Fire District Claims through September 19, 2014 (Check #6559-6573) w/Payroll (Check #6549-6558) 4. Successful Performance Review, Mr. Greg Burmeister – Lead Project Coordinator Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member King to approve the Consent Agenda as presented. All in favor. Motion passed. VIII. OLD BUSINESS 1. Matthew Montain Proposal for Purchase of City’s 1950s Studebaker and Pull-Behind Water Cart Mayor Wilharber stated that Mr. Matthew Montain submitted a letter stating that his brother Mr. Adam Montain would be present this evening to answer questions due to his brother’s absence. Mayor Wilharber reminded Council of their previous discussion regarding this item as they tabled the item from their previous meeting. Mayor Wilharber stated that Mr. Matthew Montain submitted a proposal to purchase the City’s 1950s Studebaker and pull-behind water cart for $2,500, the Montain’s (Matt and Adam) would have the items restored and make available for all City and Centennial Fire functions (schedules permitting) with full ownership being Mr. Matthew Montain’s. Mr. Matthew Montain is agreeable to a written contract that included language that if his volunteering with the Fire District ceased and/or he moved from the community the restored items would be first offered to the City for purchase.
