City of Centerville <br /> Planning and Zoning Commission <br /> September 2,2014 <br /> 2. Miller Mobile Marine Request for Interim Use Permit(7087—20th Avenue South) <br /> Administrator Larson explained the proposal of Miller Mobile Marine to lease the city building at <br /> 7087 20th Avenue for boat storage. They have run out of space at their other location in Centerville <br /> and need space through April of next year. The Commission reviewed the allowed uses in the B-1 <br /> zoning district and determined that this use requires a conditional or interim use permit. <br /> Motion by Commissioner Montain, seconded by Commissioner Koski to schedule a public <br /> hearing for October 7, 2014, at 6:30 p.m., on the proposed interim use permit for Miller <br /> Mobile Marine. All present voted in favor. Motion carried. <br /> VI. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> The Commission discussed sign regulations in particular regulations on sandwich board signs. It <br /> appears that they are never permitted in the public right of way. The administrator will visit with <br /> the landowners to curtail some of the offending signage. <br /> VII. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br /> 1. August 5,2014 Planning& Zoning Commission Meeting Minutes <br /> Motion by Commissioner Koski, seconded by Commissioner Montain to approve minutes <br /> from the August 5, 2014, meeting as presented. All present voted in favor. Motion carried. <br /> VII. ADJOURNMENT <br /> Motion by Commissioner Wood, seconded by Commissioner Koski to adiourn the meeting at <br /> 8:00 p.m. All in favor.
