<br />1. Council Updates - <br />City Council Member King, after hearing the committee <br />discussion and concern over the high estimates to put water fountains in the parks <br />and the discussion regarding the need to trim park trees, suggested that the committee <br />should request the City Council to add to the annual budget a line item for park <br />improvements. He asked the committee for an estimate on the amount needed in <br />such a line. Committee Chairperson Branch suggested the amount of $15,000 <br />annually. The number suggested reflects the high cost of the water fountains, the <br />cost of the sand volleyball court, the cost of the adding a basketball court and the <br /> <br />desire to add irrigation systems to Hidden Springs, Cornerstone and Acorn parks. <br />2. The Committee passed a motion to ask the City Administrator to raise the issue <br />of a continuing park improvements line in the City Budget. <br />3. The Committee request that the Committee’s Recording Secretary attach the <br />prioritized list of proposal park improvements to each months committee <br />meeting minutes.
