V. COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1.No One Left Hungry 5K & 8K Runs & Kids Run/Walk – September 19, 2015 <br /> <br />A Special Event Permit Application has been submitted by Patrick Bench. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Committee Member Peterson & seconded by <br />Committee Member Seeley to recommend approval of this event to the City <br />Council with one correction on page 1 to change the submission date from <br />10-29-15 to 10-29-14. All in favor. Motion Carried. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Skate Night – Saturday, January 10, 2015 & Saturday, February 7, 2015 <br />Strategy for Promotion of these events: <br /> <br />Suggestions included the City website, Community Reader Board (in front of city <br />hall), post flyers/posters in area day care centers & area businesses, in the Kiosks, <br />Warming house door, include information in the Friday Flash (school <br />information) about 2-3 weeks in advance (prior to Winter Break), contact The <br />Citizen for placement in their Community Activities section. The Committee will <br />look at other options for maximum dissemination of information for this event. <br />Committee Member Waeghe offered to make a draft for a poster for these events. <br /> <br /> <br />3.Drinking Fountain ~ Tabled to December. <br /> <br /> <br />4.Promotion of Music in the Park <br /> <br />Mr John VonDeLinde & Mr. Andy Soltvedt, Anoka County, had requested to see <br />flyers, prior to approval for placement, by February, 2015. There was some <br />miscommunication and misinformation regarding this request. They were <br />requesting this information for the Anoka County sponsored “Music in the Park” <br />program held at the Coon Rapids Dam. <br />Centerville needs permission from Anoka County to place flyers for Centerville <br />activities in the Anoka County Parks i.e. Wargo, Campground, Beach & <br />Chominix Golf Course. <br /> <br />VI. UPDATES <br /> <br /> <br />1.Council Updates – Council Member Steve King ~ NO UPDATE <br /> <br /> <br />2.
