NEW BUSINESS

1.Proposed use of Waterworks Property

Greg Johnson appeared before the Commission to report that he has reached an agreement with
Rich Defoe to purchase most of his property that was formerly Waterworks. Mr. Johnson hopes to
construct a senior coop residential building. He indicated that they would like to construct 80-90
units on the property. The units would be one to three bedroom in size. He indicated that the
project investment would be around $20 million, and that they would likely propose a three-story
building, but depending on their analysis, they may request a four-story.

The Commission liked the idea of putting the property to a residential use and especially a market-
rate project. Mr. Johnson will bring preliminary plans to the next meeting and will make
application for a planned unit development.
