CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> RESOLUTION#14-0 - <br /> A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT,DESIGNATING ENGINEER& <br /> AUTHORIZE STAFF TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF <br /> STREET IMPROVEMENTS <br /> WHEREAS, a resolution adopted by the City Council on November 12, 2014, set a date <br /> for a public hearing on the proposed improvement of the following streets by <br /> construction of a mill and pavement overlay: <br /> 1. Dupre Road from Portage Way north to Main Street. <br /> 2. All of Eagle Trail. <br /> 3. Brian Drive from a point approximately 100 feet south of Clearwater Creek, <br /> southerly to its terminus in the cul-de-sac <br /> 4. All of Portage Way <br /> 5. All of North Robin Lane <br /> 6. All of West Robin Lane <br /> 7. All of South Robin Lane <br /> 8. All of Cardinal Drive <br /> WHEREAS, ten (10) days mailed notice and two weeks' published notice was given and <br /> the hearing was held thereon on the 10th day of December, 2014, at which all persons <br /> desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF CENTERVILLE,MINNESOTA: <br /> 1. Such improvement is determined to be necessary, cost - effective and feasible as <br /> detailed in the feasibility report and the Council hereby orders the improvement as <br /> proposed. <br /> 2. Mark Statz of Stantec is hereby designated engineer for the project, and he is <br /> authorized to prepare specifications for the making of such improvement. <br /> 3. Upon completion of plans, the City Clerk is authorized to advertise for bids for <br /> the making of the improvement. The advertisements for bids shall be published <br /> as required by law, and shall specify the materials to be purchased, labor and <br /> equipment to be contracted. The notice shall state that bids will be opened at 4:00 <br /> p.m. on February 11, 2015, City Hall Council Chambers, and shall state that bids <br /> will be considered by the City Council within 90 days of the date of bid opening. <br /> Adopted by the City Council this 10th day of December,2014. <br /> Tom Wilharber, Mayor <br /> Attest: <br /> Teresa Bender, Clerk <br />
