City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> December 10,2014 <br /> Dallas Larson reviewed the negotiations with Local 49, Public Works Employees. Proposed <br /> changes to the agreement centered on four areas. Wages, insurance contribution, stand-by pay <br /> and PTO carryover at year end. The positions of the employer and union are very close, less <br /> than $1000 for the three-year term of the proposed agreement. Consensus was to accept the <br /> union settlement proposal. <br /> The meeting was reopened to the public at 9:20 p.m. <br /> Dallas Larson summarized the proposed changes in the Local 49 labor agreement for 2015-2017 <br /> as follows: 1) Three year agreement, 2) wages would increase by 2.5% in each of three years, <br /> 3) employer contribution to insurance would increase by $25 per month in each year to 2015- <br /> $1000, 2016- $1025, & 2017- $1050, 4) Stand by pay would increase from $15 to $20 per week <br /> day and from $45 to $50 for weekend days, 5) year- end carry-over of PTO would increase from <br /> 224 to 232 hours and hours in excess of that balance up to 16 hours would be converted to cash <br /> and paid into the employee Health Care Savings Plan. <br /> Transcribed by City Staff Member Dallas Larson, City Administrator. <br /> Motion made by Council Member King, seconded by Council member Fehrenbacher to <br /> approve the labor agreement incorporating the changes noted. Motion passed <br /> unanimously. <br /> XI. ADJOURNMENT <br /> Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Paar to close the regularly <br /> scheduled meeting of December 10, 2014 at 9:21 p.m.All in favor.
