V. COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> 1. Shake Your Shamrock 5K, 8K Runs & Kids' 1/3K Walk/Run— <br /> A Special Event Permit Application, including a route map, was received for this <br /> event being held on March 15, 2015. After discussion, motion was made by <br /> Committee Member Peterson, seconded by Committee Member Reinhardt to <br /> recommend to the City Council to approve this application All in Favor. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> A request has been made to Anoka County for permission to place flyers for the <br /> 2015 Centerville activities in the Anoka County Parks i.e. Wargo, Campground, <br /> Beach & Chomonix Golf Course. <br /> 2. Drinking Fountain—Tabled to March, 2015 meeting <br /> 3. Centennial Lakes Little League—requesting use of LaMotte ball fields <br /> A letter was received from Mr. Patrick Mahr, President of the Centennial Lakes <br /> Little League requesting the use of the baseball and softball fields and facilities at <br /> Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park from April 1 through August 1, 2015; Mondays <br /> through Fridays from 4:OOpm until dark. <br /> After discussion, motion was made by Committee Member Peterson, <br /> seconded by Committee Amundsen to recommend to the City Council to <br /> tentatively approve the use of the fields at LaMotte Park contingent upon the <br /> receipt, by the City of Centerville, of a final schedule. In addition that a <br /> response letter be sent to Mr. Mahr stating the approximate wording of the <br /> motion and also informing them of possible Centerville road construction <br /> this summer. All in Favor. Motion carried. <br /> The Little League volunteers have scheduled a park clean-up day for Saturday, <br /> April 11th with a rain date of Saturday,April 1881H <br /> 4. Hockey Rink& Warming House Safety Issues <br /> Committee Member Reinhardt has identified several safety&maintenance issues <br /> pertaining to the hockey rink and warming house, including but not limited to: <br /> Immediate Re aip rs Suggested: <br /> sted: <br /> a. Warming house—replace incandescent and CFL bulbs with LED lights <br /> b. Rink—screw busted off of east side of rink wall <br /> 2 <br />
