City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> December 10,2014 <br /> Council Member King questioned funds received from sales of city owned property and <br /> whether and how they would be applied to this bond. Staff stated that sale proceeds <br /> would be applied to the bond upon its call date. <br /> a. Res. #14-038 —Approve Award of Bid of G.O. Imp. Refunding Bond, Series <br /> 2015 <br /> Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Paar <br /> to approve Res. #14-038 —Approvin, Award of Bid of G O Imp Refunding Bond, <br /> Series 2015. <br /> Council Member King questioned the total cost of refinancing the bond and Mr. Eilertson <br /> stated $37,600. <br /> All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> 4. Res. #14-039—Adopting Budget & Tax Levies for 2015 <br /> Administrator Ericson stated that the public was given an opportunity for input and no <br /> comments were received during that time. Council Member Love questioned Council's <br /> previous decision to provide Parks & Recreation with $15,000 in the budget and <br /> consensus of the Council was to keep those dollars secured for that item. <br /> Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher to <br /> approve Res. #14-039—Ado tin Bud et & Tax Levies for 2015 as Presented. All in <br /> favor. Motion passed. <br /> 5. Approve Recommendation From Fire Steering Committee For Submittal of FEMA Grant <br /> Application <br /> Fire Chief Pat Devaney reviewed with Council the grant, stated that the grant contained <br /> requests for eight (8) sets of turnout gear, twenty-six (26) SCBA air packs with <br /> composite cylinders with a total value of approximately $212,000. Chief Devaney <br /> explained the workings of the grant with responsibilities for unused equipment and their <br /> associated costs. <br /> Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Love to approve <br /> the submittal of the FEMA Grant Application on Behalf of the Centennial Fire <br /> District as presented. All in favor. Motion passed <br /> 6. Res. 914-039a — Accepting Plans & Specifications, Ordering Project - 2015 Mill & <br /> Overlay Project <br /> Engineer Statz stated costs fluctuate depending upon costs of gas prices, oil prices, etc <br /> and he is unsure of where the bids will come in.
