2015 CITY FOCUS GOALS <br /> DESCRIPTION OF GOALS TARGET DATE FOR <br /> COMPLETION <br /> 1 Economic Development- Business Retention & Growth <br /> a. Maintain active relationships with all businesses in Centerville <br /> allowing for open input of economic conditions, available <br /> City resources, future plans (i.e., expansion/relocation) <br /> b. Collaberate with Quad Area Chamber of Commerce, <br /> neighboring communities, Anoka County, etc. to assist in <br /> increased knowledge of projects affecting city <br /> c. Maintain database of stock of commercial/industrial <br /> properties (MNPro, MetroMSP, DEED &Greater MSP) <br /> for potential suitors and market with real estate brokers <br /> d. Utilize financial advisor,bond counsel, DEED, Met. Council <br /> and all economic development tools (TIF, tax abatement, grants,) <br /> to attract new business to Centerville <br /> e. Review use of EDA to promote Centerville's attributes (lakes, <br /> small town feel, transportation/easy access, internet/broadband <br /> availability, etc.) <br /> f. Review and update downtown redevelopment plan <br /> 2 Infrastructure <br /> a. CSAH21 - Work w/County and residents to complete successful <br /> reconstruction(financial and progress updates) <br /> ib. Pavement management - continued funding and review <br /> c. Ensure existing systems (water, sewer, storm sewer, snow plowing <br /> policy/route) are in order and can be sustained through fees <br /> d. Continue grant submissions for municipal connections <br /> e. Storm Water Management policies and procedures <br /> 3 Public Safety <br /> a. Centennial Fire District- work w/member cities <br /> b. CLPD Police Commission- work w/member cities <br /> 4 Comprehensive Plan Implementation <br /> 5 Water Conservation <br /> a. Storm Water Irrigation - monitor <br /> b. Water rate conservation -review fee structure <br /> c. Education, encouragement, incentives <br /> d. Collaboration on water supply-NE Water Summit&MN DNR <br /> 6 Parks & Recreation <br /> a. Identify and complete missing trail links <br /> b. Hockey Rink Fencing <br /> c. Identify funding sources like grants &donations <br /> ld. Council Budgeted $15,000 in 2015 <br /> e.
