PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> Wednesday, February 4, 2015 —6:30 p.m. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Parks & Recreation Committee of the City of <br /> Centerville held a scheduled meeting on February 4, 2015 at the City Hall location. <br /> Present: Chairperson Jon Grahek <br /> Vice Chairperson Kevin Waeghe <br /> Committee Member Kevin Amundsen 0 Q <br /> Committee Member Chris Bettinger 0 <br /> Committee Member Brian Peterson b pp Committee Member Charles Reinhardt O <br /> Committee Member Suzanne Seeley <br /> Also Present: Council Member, Steve King <br /> Public Works Director, Paul Palzer <br /> Linda Neudecker, Recording Secretary <br /> I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chairperson Grahek called the February 4,2015 Meeting of the Parks&Recreation Committee to <br /> order at 6:34 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. <br /> Roll Call—see above <br /> II. SET AGENDA <br /> There were no additions to the agenda. <br /> III. APPEARANCES—Tom Lee <br /> Mr. Lee, Coordinator of Music in the Park, gave the Committee a report on the status of <br /> the event. Mr. Lee stated that there are nine (9) bands scheduled for each week from <br /> June 2 through July 28. Mr. Lee has requested that the Committee consider an increase <br /> in the budget from $2,200 to $2,700 to ensure that all expenses are covered. Mr. Lee <br /> stated that the committee approved the purchase of three (3) XLR cords in 2014, <br /> however, they have yet to be purchase and he intends on purchasing them prior to the <br /> event commencement. Mr. Lee estimated cost to be approximately $50. Mr. Lee <br /> reported that he may have an opportunity to obtain some rolling cases for the PA <br /> system/audio equipment at no cost. Mr. Lee is still exploring the option for a "Jam" in <br /> conjunction with the Music in the Park program, however he would need access to a <br /> stage, canopy and possibly provide concessions. Discussion ensued regarding fireworks <br /> and the distribution of flyers at the several water ski shows that will be taking place prior <br /> to the event. <br /> 1 <br />
