Res. #15-0 <br /> A RESOLUTION ADOPTING SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS ON 2015 STREET MILL AND <br /> OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given-as required by law, the council has met and heard <br /> and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessment for the improvement of the following streets <br /> by construction of a mill and pavement overlay: <br /> 1. Dupre Road from Portage Way north to Main Street. <br /> 2. All of Eagle Trail. <br /> 3. Brian Drive from a point approximately 100 feet south of Clearwater Creek, southerly to its <br /> terminus in the cul-de-sac <br /> 4. All of Portage Way <br /> 5. All of North Robin Lane <br /> 6. All of West Robin Lane <br /> 7. All of South Robin Lane <br /> 8. All of Cardinal Drive <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CENTERVILLE, <br /> MINNESOTA: <br /> I. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is <br /> hereby adopted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named <br /> therein, and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefited by the <br /> improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it. <br /> 2. Special assessments shall be payable in annual installments extending over a period of <br /> years. The first installment of such assessments shall be payable on or before November 1, <br /> 2015, and shall bear interest at the rate of 5.0 percent per annum from the date of this <br /> resolution. Assessment installments not paid by November 1, 2015, shall be certified for <br /> collection with taxes to Anoka County. Each installment certified to Anoka County shall <br /> include interest to December 31, of the year of collection. <br /> 3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment <br /> to the county auditor, pay the whole or part of the assessment on such property with interest <br /> accrued to the date of payment, to the City Administrator, except that no interest shall be <br /> charged on any amount paid within 30 days of the adoption of this resolution; and may at any <br /> time thereafter, pay to the Administrator the entire amount of the assessment remaining <br /> unpaid, with interest accrued from the date of this resolution to the date of payment. Such <br /> payment must be made before November 1 or interest will be charged to December 31 of the <br /> next succeeding year. <br /> 4. The Administrator shall file the assessment rolls pertaining to this assessment in his office and <br /> shall annually certify installment amounts unpaid as of November 1, to the County Auditor, <br /> such that installments of principal and interest will be collected as due with taxes on each <br /> parcel of land included in the assessment roll. <br /> ✓AI X <br />
