01/01/2013 <br /> Starting Wage: Initial appointments to full-time positions will normally be made at <br /> the adopted wage for the applicable lob class. Exceptions may be made to the <br /> starting rate at the discretion of the City Council, based on additional education, <br /> training, qualifications and/or experience above that normally required for the <br /> position. <br /> 6.2 Pay Periods <br /> Bi-weekly: Employees shall be paid by check, on alternate Wednesdays" . <br /> The pay received by an Employee will be for the hours worked during the pay period <br /> plus any holidays,compensatory time,overtime,and PTO taken during the period. <br /> 6.3 Work Hours <br /> General: All Employees are expected to perform their regular work duties when <br /> required to do so by their supervisor, including situations where the workday or <br /> workweek requires additional hours or different hours from that normally scheduled. <br /> The City Administrator may also adjust normal work weeks and days for the <br /> positions that require the exercise of duties and responsibilities outside of normal <br /> hours(for example,the need to attend City Council meetings). <br /> Timeliness: It is expected that all Employees will report to work on time,use their <br /> available hours to the best advantage,and leave only after the regular work hours are <br /> completed. The City Administrator may also adjust normal work weeks and days for <br /> the positions that require the exercise of duties and responsibilities outside of normal <br /> hours (for example,the need to attend City Council meetings). <br /> Full-Time Work Week Defined: The regularly scheduled work week for full-trine, <br /> non-supervisory Employees is eight(8)hours per day and forty(40)hours per week, <br /> with the regular work week defined as Alonday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 <br /> p.m., including rest periods. The City Administrator may also adjust normal work- <br /> weeks <br /> orkweeks and days for the positions that require the exercise of duties and <br /> responsibilities outside of normal hours (for example, the need to attend City <br /> Council meetings). <br /> Part-Time Work Week Defined: The regularly scheduled work week for part- <br /> time, non-supervisory Employees is less than thirty—two (32) hours per week, <br /> including rest periods. Flexible work schedules will be allowed on a case by case <br /> basis as approved by the City Adrmnistrator. The City Administrator may also adjust <br /> normal work weeks and days for the positions that require the exercise of duties and <br /> responsibilities outside of normal hours (for example, the need to attend City <br /> Council meetings). <br /> 6.4 Work Breaks <br /> Meal Break: Employees working eight or more consecutive hours will be scheduled <br /> an unpaid meal break of one-half hour. <br /> Page 11 of 51 <br /> Adopted 12 09,288901/23/2013 <br />
