Teresa Bender
From: Linda Runbeck <Rep.Linda.Runbeck@house.mn>
Sent: Wednesday,April 22, 2015 9:46 PM
To: Teresa Bender
Cc: Mike Ericson
Subject: RE: Early Voting
Hi, Mike and Teresa:
Thanks for your input. It does not look like early voting will be in the House Election bill as there wasn't bipartisan
agreement on it. Of course, as you know, much depends on what happens with the Senate bill and the conference
committee negotiations. Still, without bipartisan support, past history says that Gov Dayton will hold out until
bipartisan agreement has been reached.
As another update, Sen. Chamberlain and I,with the help of Bryan Bear, have been successful in getting our 6-city
water bill attached to the Environment and Natural Resources bill -- and with it has come a relinquishing by Met
Council of the requirement that your new comp plan has to meet the Master Water Supply Plan provisions. Plus a
requirement that the DNR must accept technical advisory input from municipal water users, i.e., cities.
Stay tuned,
Linda Runbeck
48
