Mike Ericson
From: Patrick Branch <p2branch@gmai1.com>
Sent Tuesday,June 30,201S 10:26 AM
To: Mark Statz
Cc: Mike Ericson;Kris Sweeney
Subject: Festival of the Lakes 5K/8K/k]Kids Runs
Mark
This will be the seventh year of Centerville's Festival of the Lakes 5K,8K,and Kids Run/Walk.We would greatly
appreciate your support again this year. Last year Stantec sponsored the Festival of the Lakes events at the$200
level. To repeat in 2015, please send a check to the City of Centerville attention Kris Sweeney.
Please mark your calendars for July 25, 2015 and come out and join us.
Each year, for longer than any of us can remember, the City of Centerville holds an annual celebration known as
Fete des Lacs(Festival of the Lakes). The festival includes a parade, fireworks, street dance, softball and kickball
tournaments and the three running events. As a small city,Centerville's has a small budget for community social
events. However,we have been able to continue to improve the annual festival through the generosity of business
sponsors. We simply could not provide these events without you. As in years past, sponsorship dollars will offset
costs and remaining proceeds are utilized to provide park amenities, such as Music in the Park and Movie in the
Park programs. With funds raised in previous years, Centerville has installed a sand volleyball and basketball
courts at Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park and park benches in three Centerville parks.
We traditionally have approximately 125-150 participants in the 5K and 8K Walks/Runs and 75 participants in
the kids run. As in years past, our courses will ensure safety, picturesque views, water stops and enjoyment for
all ages and abilities. We will ensure that no participant's journey across the finish line goes unnoticed and that
all are challenged.
This year Metro Dance Studios and Apple Academy are the sponsors of the kids run. They organize, operate and
provide medals and t-shirts for all participates. There is no better way to promote health, well- being and life-
long outdoor enjoyment.
We immensely appreciate your support. If you have and questions, please contact me via email at
pbranch@centervillemn.com or by phone at 703-501-6815.
Sincerely yours,
Patrick Branch
Race Coordinator
This email has been scanned by the Symantec Email Security.cloud service.
For more information please visit http://www.symanteccloud.com
I
