City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />July 22, 2015 <br />Ms. Rummel introduced herself to Council and stated that the Metropolitan Council desired to <br />work with the City of Centerville regarding water, wastewater, parks and trails, comprehensive <br />planning and transportation needs. Ms. Rummel stated that the Council has many individuals on <br />staff that provide services that the City could utilize, if called upon. Ms. Rummel stated that <br />many individuals know little of what services and the importance of the Metropolitan Council <br />and her job is to educate individuals. <br />Mr. Ryan Garcia, District 11 & 12 Sector Representative, was also present and introduced <br />himself to Council. Mr. Garcia stated that he had met with Administrator Ericson several <br />months prior and desired to also offer his assistance regarding the City's Comprehensive Plan <br />update, downtown redevelopment plan, transportation needs or groundwater issues. <br />Both Ms. Rummel and Mr. Garcia stated that the Metropolitan Council is here to provide <br />resources to municipalities if called upon. <br />3. State Representative Linda Runbeck (Dist. 38A) — Session Update <br />State Representative Linda Runbeck introduced herself to Council and presented them with a <br />briefing of laws passed in the 2015 legislative session. Ms. Runbeck reviewed the following: <br />Classification of Data, Stroke Protocols, Sunday Growler Sales, Silver Alert System, Child <br />Advocacy Centers Funding, Sex Trafficking Investigations, Lifesaver Grant Program, False <br />Reporting to Public Safety Answering Point, Purchasing A Firearm on Behalf of an Ineligible <br />Person, State level Disaster Declaration, Vehicle Crimes Unit Funding, Joint Power & Special <br />District Sales Tax Exemption, Transportation Provisions and Traffic Signal Timing. <br />Mayor Wilharber thanked Representative Runbeck for the briefing, her participation and <br />dedication to groundwater. <br />ILlt� U0011c6iM►M;aisI <br />1.
