PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> Wednesday,August 5,2015—6:30 p.m. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Parks & Recreation Committee of the City of <br /> Centerville held a scheduled meeting on July8, 2015 at the City Hall location. <br /> Present: Chairperson Jon Grahek <br /> 14 <br /> Committee Member Kevin Amundsen r>; <br /> Committee Member Brian Peterson <br /> Committee Member Suzanne Seeley <br /> Also Present: Council Member Steve KingT <br /> City Administrator, Mike Ericson k <br /> Linda Neudecker, Recorder �. <br /> Absent: Vice Chairperson Kevin Waeghe <br /> Committee Member Chris Bettinger <br /> Committee Member Charles Reinhardt <br /> Public Works Director, Paul Palzer <br /> I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chairperson Grahek called the August 5, 2015 Meeting of the Parks & Recreation Committee to <br /> order at 6:40 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. <br /> Roll Call—see above <br /> II. SET AGENDA <br /> Motion was made by Committee Member Peterson, seconded by Committee Member <br /> Amundson to amend the agenda by adding Mr. Pat Branch under appearances and #10 <br /> Movie in the Park. All in favor. MOTION CARRIED. <br /> III. APPEARANCES— <br /> 1. Ms. Karen Blaska—Anoka County Park Planner <br /> Ms. Blaska gave a presentation of the Chain of Lakes Regional Trail Master Plan which <br /> includes Boundaries and Acquisition Costs, Demand Forecast, Development Concept, <br /> Conflicts, Public Services, Operations, Public Engagement and Participation, Public <br /> Awareness and Accessibility. <br /> The current trail connects Blaine, Lino Lakes and Centerville with three (3) gaps totaling <br /> 14.5 miles in the trail yet to be constructed with an estimated construction cost of 3.5 to 6 <br /> million dollars. A longevity study is needed to determine the cost per mile for <br /> maintenance and replacing trails as needed. If grant money is available it could be used <br />
