CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> Res. #15-,4,11 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPROVING MODIFICATIONS TO UTILITY <br /> BILLING PROCEDURES FOR THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Centerville adopted Resolution#13-020 on the 25th <br /> day of September, 2013; <br /> WHEREAS, Staff has received numerous resident complaints regarding privacy and non- <br /> delivery of post-card format bills; <br /> WHEREAS, Staff desires the ability to provide residents with informational pieces from time to <br /> time and a single-sheet format bill would allow for such delivery at no additional cost; <br /> WHEREAS,post-card format bill stock has been depleted, contract services for bill issuance has <br /> expired, single-sheet format bill stock has been obtained and on hand, and an appropriate postage <br /> permit will need to be obtained along with mailing envelopes; <br /> WHEREAS, all customers will remain having the same ability to provide payment(s); <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> CENTERVILLE,MINNESOTA, <br /> 1. Beginning September 3, 2015, issuance of utility billing on a single-sheet format bill. <br /> 2. Provide customers with the same avenues to provide payment as outlined in Resolution <br /> #13-020. <br /> 3. From time to time provide residents with informational pieces along with their single- <br /> sheet format billing. <br /> 4. Staff is authorized to take necessary steps to implement the above modifications as stated. <br /> Adopted by the Council this 26th day of August, 2015. <br /> Tom Wilharber, Mayor <br /> Teresa Bender, City Clerk <br />
