March 27, 2003

CenteNiIle City Council
1880 Main Street
CenteNiIle, MN

Dear CenteNiIle City Council,

Subject: Water-ski jump permit

The Bald Eagle Water-ski Show would like to place a water-ski jump in front of the Water-
Works Beach Club. Similar to past years, this requires a permit from the Anoka County Sheriffs water
patrol, a permission letter from the Centerville City Council and a permission letter from the owner of
Water Works. This letter is to request the opportunity to appear before the council and discuss our
intentions, and address any concems you may have.

Our club would use the jump primarily on Tuesday and Thursday nights between 5:00 and
9:00. Daytime and weekend use is very limited. Every member of our club knows that using our lakes is
a privilege, with ever increasing pressure on metro area lakes, we as a club try to minimize our impact
on the lake and lakeshore. We contain our activities to the area in front of the Waterworks; give right of
way to fisherman and other families who are also enjoying Centerville Lake.

It is important to us to cultivate a positive relationship with the community of Centerville. We
are very excited to be involved if the "Fete de Lacs" celebration this summer. We will join the parade,
and perform a free Water-ski show in the afternoon.

I look forward to meeting with you to discuss our plans and answer any questions you may

have.

Best regards,

Dean Havel
Bald Eagle Waterski Show
