COUNTY OF ANOKA <br /> CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> RES.#15-0� <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING A SPECIAL LAW 2015 CHAPTER 68 <br /> WHEREAS, the cities who are members of the Centennial Fire District sought Legislation that allowed for <br /> Centennial Fire Relief firefighter pensions to be portable for those firefighters joining the City of Lino Lakes <br /> Fire Department; and <br /> WHEREAS, Legislation was sponsored by local representatives and senator; and <br /> WHEREAS, as the Pension Board approved certain changes; and <br /> WHEREAS, 2015 Laws, Chapter 68, Senate File 1398 was approved by both the House and Senate and signed <br /> by the Governor; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article 10 Particular Volunteer Fire Relief Association Changes, Subsection 2 Centennial Fire <br /> Relief Association: Lino Lakes Firefighter Transfers was approved; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council desires to put the Law into effect. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CENTERVILLE, <br /> MINNESOTA that the Centerville City Council hereby incompliance with the provisions of Minnesota Statute <br /> §645.021, Subdivisions 2 and 3, approves the Legislation to make it effective. <br /> The City Clerk/City Administrator is hereby authorized to submit the required Certificate of Approval of <br /> Special Laws by the Governing Body form to the Minnesota Secretary of State. <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City of Centerville this 14th day of October, 2015. <br /> Mayor, Tom Wilharber <br /> test: <br /> City Clerk, Teresa Bender <br />
