Service District <br /> A service district is the area, as determined by the City Engineer <br /> and approved by the City Council , which will receive benefit from <br /> a proposed improvement project. This type of approach for <br /> assessment purposes is typically used for trunk and subtrunk <br /> sanitary sewer projects; trunk, subtrunk, source, storage and <br /> treatment water projects; and trunk storm sewer and collector <br /> street projects. <br /> B. General <br /> 1. Petition <br /> Petition shall mean a written document presented to the City <br /> Council for purposes of initiating a public improvement project. <br /> All signatures shall be accompanied by the address of each <br /> signator, the date of the signature and a printing of each <br /> signator's name.
