Res.#16-0.�IL <br /> A RESOLUTION ADOPTING SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS ON 2016 STREET MILL AND <br /> OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the council has met and heard <br /> and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessment for the improvement of the following streets <br /> by construction of a mill and pavement overlay: <br /> 1. Cottonwood Court 2. Deer Court <br /> 3. Hunters Trail 4. Meadow Circle <br /> 5. Meadow Court 6. Mill Road <br /> 7. Cardinal Drive 8. North Robin Lane <br /> 9. South Robin Lane 10. West Robin Lane <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CENTERVILLE, <br /> MINNESOTA: <br /> 1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is <br /> hereby adopted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named <br /> therein, and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefited by the <br /> improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it. <br /> 2. Special assessments shall be payable in annual installments extending over a period of three <br /> (3) years. The first installment of such assessments shall be payable on or before <br /> November 1, 2016, and shall bear interest at the rate of 5.0 percent per annum from July 1, <br /> 2016. Assessment installments not paid by November 1, 2016, shall be certified for collection <br /> with taxes to Anoka County. Each installment certified to Anoka County shall include interest <br /> to December 31, of the year of collection. <br /> 3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the <br /> assessment to the county auditor, pay the whole or part of the assessment on such <br /> property with interest accrued to the date of payment, to the City Administrator, except that no <br /> interest shall be charged on any amount paid within 30 days of the adoption of this resolution <br /> and additionally until July 1, 2016; and may at any time thereafter, pay to the <br /> Administrator the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest <br /> accrued from July 1, 2016 to the date of payment. Such payment must be made before <br /> November 15 or interest will be charged to December 31 of the next succeeding year. <br /> 4. The Administrator shall file the assessment rolls pertaining to this assessment in his office and <br /> shall annually certify installment amounts unpaid as of November 1, to the County Auditor, <br /> such that installments of principal and interest will be collected as due with taxes on each <br /> parcel of land included in the assessment roll. <br />
