<br />6.6 Overtime <br /> <br />The City recognizes some employees may be required to work extra hours in <br />emergency situations and during unexpected peak workload periods. The <br />scheduling and payment of overtime will be in accordance with the applicable <br />Fair Labor Standards Act and the following: <br /> <br />A. Non-Exempt Employees - Non-exempt employees shall be <br />compensated for work their supervisor requires them to undertake <br />in excess of a forty-hour (40) workweek. Hours taken as sick leave, <br />vacation leave, or holidays are Bet considered hours worked for the <br />purposes of computing a forty-hour work week. The compensation <br />shall be paid at one and one-half times their regular rate of pay. <br />The Employee shall be compensated for any overtime worked in <br />the same pay period it is earned. <br />
