<br />e. Vehicle Inspection. Vehic1es must be inspected by the City at least once each year. <br />However, if a vehicle has been inspected and approved by another city or <br />governmental agency within the previous 12 months prior to the City inspection, no <br />additional inspection is required. <br /> <br />f. Description of Vehic1es. The Contractor must furnish the City with a written <br />description of vehicles and equipment to be used within the City and advise the City <br />in writing of any withdrawal of a part of such equipment or of any change therein <br />within one week of the time of making such change. <br /> <br />e. Safety Equipment. A vehicle must have a flashing light warning system, fire <br />extinguisher ( C02 type), proper backup alarms as approved by the City, and otherwise <br />shall comply with all State and Federal inspections and safety requirements. <br /> <br />2. Personnel Requirements. <br /> <br />a. Responsibility. <br /> <br />i) There is no limitation on the size of the Contractor's collection crew. <br /> <br />ii) A collection crew must comply with the Ordinances ofthe City and all ofthose <br />rules, regulations, and conditions for refuse collection as established by the <br />City. <br /> <br />b. Driver. <br /> <br />i) The Contractor's personnel, including independent contractors, must comply <br />with applicable laws including driving and traffic laws, relating to its <br />performance of services under this Contract. Contractor's personnel must <br />comply with all Federal regulations in Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) at 49 <br />CFR, Part 382 as it pertains to drug and alcohol testing. Upon request, <br />Contractor must supply City with any results of its drug and alcohol-testing <br />program. <br /> <br />ii) A driver must have a valid Minnesota License with proper classification. <br /> <br />c. Collector. <br /> <br />i) The driver and collector must exhibit a courteous attitude toward the general <br />public. <br /> <br />ii) The driver and collector must be of sound character, competent, and sober <br /> <br />-8- <br />
