Swearing in of Council Member JeffPaar <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft administered the oath of office to Jeff Paar for the position of <br />Council Member. <br /> <br />1. Swearing in of Mayor Terry Sweeney <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft administered the oath of office to Terry Sweeney for the position of <br />Mayor. <br /> <br />V. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers asked that item 10 under New Business be added as <br />Park and Recreation Committee request. <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney asked that Announcements be added prior to VI. <br /> <br />Motion by CounciIMell1l>erC3;P'!aL~~~~caded bv Council Member Lee to approve <br />the agenda as amended. All in favor; l'.lotion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />IV. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Capra. seconded by Council Member Broussard <br />Vickers to approve the consent agenda as presented. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney stated he had several points concerning his personal affiliations that he <br />desired to make public record. He stated he serves on the Centennial Fire Department <br />and has for 13 years, and therefore he will not serve on the Fire Department Commission <br />as the Mayor typically does. He indicated he is a member of the Lion's Club and will <br />abstain from voting on any issues that affect this organization. He also added that his <br />spouse is a City employee. He asked that all of these items be added to the record so the <br />reason is clear ifhe abstains from voting on these issues in the future. <br /> <br />VI. A W ARDS/PRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES <br /> <br />1. Mr. Garv Boyum, Waste Management <br /> <br />Mr. Gary Boyum indicated he was here to address the City Council concerning three <br />matters related to Waste Management; Request for CPI rate adjustment, Tip fee rebate <br />and Single Sort recycling proposal. <br /> <br />Page 2 of 20 <br />
