City of Centerville
Planning and Zoning Commission
June 7, 2016

recently purchased a home which is located on a corner lot which City Code recognizes as two (2)
front yards with a required 35’ setback, the home was constructed with a smaller than average
dining area and cannot adequately service a family of 2.7. Mr. Bilotta feels that for this reason a
hardship exists.

Extensive discussion was had by the Commission with many questions from Mr. Bilotta. Council
Liaison Love summed up the discussion with the suggestion that unless an application is received
there is no official action by the Commission. Commission Members agreed that it would be
difficult to grant a variance because a hardship does not exist.

VI.
