Conclusions ! ♦ Recommendations <br />CONCLUSIONS <br />If the Council wishes to maintain their bituminous roadways to a reasonable standard which <br />promotes the general safety and convenience of the traveling public and wishes to avoid <br />escalating maintenance costs on aging roadways by taking a proactive approach, then the <br />improvements described herein are necessary, cost effective and feasible. <br />RECOMENDATIONS <br />The following are our recommendations if the Council wishes to move forward with this project: <br />I . Accept this report and adopt its findings. <br />. Call for and hold a Public Improvement Hearing, notifying affected residents. <br />. Consider any changes to the project scope (including cancelation or delay of the project) <br />based on public input. <br />4. Authorize Plans and Specifications and Bidding <br />5. Open Bids and Call for and Hold a Public Assessment Hearing, notifying affected residents. <br />6. Consider any changes to the assessments based on public input. Consider whether or not to <br />move forward with the project. <br />7.
