CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />RESOLUTION #17-0 <br />A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS, ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, DECLARING <br />COST TO BE ASSESSED, ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED <br />ASSESSMENT & CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON 2017 STREET MILL & <br />OVERLAY PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, a resolution adopted by the City Council on December 14, 2016, <br />authorized plans and specifications and set a date to receive bids on the improvement of <br />the following streets by construction of a mill and pavement overlay: <br />1. Beaver Pond Way (175' South of Hunters Trail to and including the cul de <br />sac of its termination) <br />2. Gateway Circle (Entirety) <br />3. Mound Court (Entirety) <br />4. Mound Trail (from Main Street to City Limits) <br />Trails <br />5. Acorn Creek Park Trail(s) —1,068' <br />6. Eagle Pass, Eagle Trail to Brian Drive — 350' <br />7. Between Hunters 0 and 2nd —1,050' <br />8. West side of Hunters 0 — 228' <br />9. E -W Middle of LaMotte Park — 585' <br />10. Brian Way to Robin Lane — 277' <br />11. Pheasant Marsh 2nd, NW of Dupre Road —1,423' <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for making the improvement, the bids <br />were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the attached tabulations <br />indicate bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />See Exhibit A attached, and <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Valley Paving, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder for the <br />project materials. <br />WHEREAS, the bid price for the improvement is $194,463.30 and the expenses to be <br />incurred in the making of such improvement amount to $48,615.83 so that the total cost <br />of the improvement will be $243,079.10. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The portion of the cost of such improvement to be paid by the city is hereby <br />declared to be $194,463.30 and the portion to be assessed against benefiting <br />property is declared to be $48,615.83. <br />2. The City Administrator, with the assistance of the consulting engineer shall <br />forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such <br />5 <br />
