CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />RESOLUTION #17,04 7 <br />A RESOLUTION AWARDING PROJECT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF <br />IMPROVEMENT (2017 MILL & OVERLAY STREET PROJECT) <br />WHEREAS, a resolution adopted by the City Council on November 16, 2016, fixed a <br />date for a public hearing on the proposed improvement of the following streets by <br />construction of a mill and pavement overlay: <br />Streets <br />1. Beaver Pond Way (175' South of Hunters Trail to and including the cul de <br />sac of its termination) <br />2. Gateway Circle (Entirety) <br />3. Mound Court (Entirety) <br />4. Mound Trail (Entirety) <br />Trails <br />5. Acorn Creek Park Trail(s) —1,068' <br />6. Eagle Pass, Eagle Trail to Brian Drive — 350' <br />7. Between Hunters I" and 2nd —1,050' <br />8. West side of Hunters I" —1,228' <br />9. E -W Middle of LaMotte Park — 585' <br />10. Brian Way to Robin Lane — 277' <br />11. Pheasant Marsh 2nd, NW of Dupre Road —1,423' <br />WHEREAS, ten (10) days mailed notice and two weeks' published notice was given and <br />the hearing was held thereon on the 14th day of December, 2016, at which all persons <br />desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon, and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for making the improvement, the bids <br />were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the attached tabulations <br />indicate bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />See Exhibit A attached, and <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Valley Paving, Inc., is the lowest responsible bidder for <br />project materials, labor and equipment ($194,463.30). <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA: <br />1. Such improvement is determined to be necessary, cost - effective and feasible as <br />detailed in the feasibility report and the Council hereby orders the improvement as <br />proposed. <br />2. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract <br />with Valley Paving, Inc. in the name of the City of Centerville for the <br />
