C E N T E N N I A L F 1 R E D I S T R I C T The Centennial Fire District says Happy Retirement to Fire- fighter Jeff Amacher following 20 years of dedicated service. Jeff reached the rank of captain and served for many years in that role and he received the Officer of the Year Award in 2009. Jeff served out of the Circle Pines Sta- tion. Thank You Jeff! In December the District took pos- session of a brand new engine that will be housed out of Station #3. The District now has a total of three (3) engines, with two (2) of them being housed out of Station 3. The District also purchased a used ladder truck which will be H O M E S A F E T Y S U R V E Y S O F F E R E D— F R E E Home Safety Surveys are provided free of charge from the Centennial Fire District. The District received a feder- al grant which will allow for free home safety surveys along with free installation of smoke alarms which will last for 10 years. If you are a resi- dent of Circle Pines or Cen- terville, call 651-792-7900 to request a survey and a fire- fighter will conduct a survey of your home. Learn from the experts on how to make your home a safer place to live. Chief Coaan re- ports that negotiations went very well and the morale of the officers is high. The Department recently swore in Officer Nolan Wal - berg, Officer I<rueger received the Meritorious Conduct Award for a recent incident and several officers received Life Saver Awards along with EMTs and Sergeant Jacobsen. The District will be purchasing body cameras shortly and will hold public input meetings, work with the League of MN Cities, etc. prior to implemen- tation. Thank you to all who serve and protect!
