City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />April 12, 2017 <br />Mr. Ulvestad stated that the Pederson have invested a substantial amount of money in the <br />Centerville site, appreciated Ms. Rusk's attendance this evening to reassure Council of <br />Oppidan's commitment. <br />Council Member Love questioned whether Ruffridge Johnson's first potential buyer was <br />Oppidan. Mr. Ulvestad replied no. Mayor Paar questioned the City's risk with granting <br />the ten (10) month extension versus starting from scratch and City Attorney Glaser stated <br />that ten (10) months was a lengthy period of time, that Ruffridge Johnson has great <br />potential but is dependent on Oppidan and that it is Council's decision. Discussion <br />ensued regarding the process for considering the request and whether or not it should be <br />completed during the Closed Executive Session. <br />Administrator Ericson stated that additional discussion would be held during the Closed <br />Executive Session and he would be contacting Mr. Pederson and Mr. Ulvestad the <br />following morning. <br />2. Met. Council Response to Questions Re: Flow Rates/Fees <br />Item was tabled to the next Regularly Scheduled Council meeting. <br />X. NEW BUSINESS <br />1. 2017 Vendor for Port -a -Pots (Parks) <br />Administrator Ericson stated that he felt that the item should have been on the Consent <br />Agenda as the item was an annual expenditure and with his absence he was unable to <br />review the agenda prior to the meeting. <br />Building Official/P. W. Director Palzer stated that he had received two (2) bids for the <br />services with Jimmy's Johnnys being the lowest bidder. He stated that both vendors have <br />increased their fees slightly but primarily with the Damage Waiver. <br />Discussion ensued as to the use of a vendor last year and Mr. Palzer replied Jimmy's <br />Johnnys. Council Member King questioned whether Staff checks the condition of the <br />Port -a -Pots on a regular basis and Mr. Palzer stated yes. <br />Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Koski to as presented. All <br />in favor. Motion carried. <br />2. Discussion of Downtown Overlay <br />Engineer Statz stated that Council previously discussed the condition of roadways and <br />municipal services in the downtown area.
