Review Charge from Centerville Lions and Businesses <br />"Fun Family Event That Builds Community" <br />- New Theme — Committee agreed on a "Wild <br />West" Theme <br />• 2017 Festival is July 18-23 — Tuesday -Sunday <br />• Recap from Kerri Kolstad, Race Director — out of town <br />6:55 pm 3. Review of 2017 Committees <br />• Sponsorship - Donations and In -Kind Gifts - many received <br />• Publicity: Still on going with the website <br />o fetedeslacs.org and Facebook <br />o One Page Poster and Tri -Fold <br />o North Metro TV- Will be using the drone this year <br />• Banners and Signage <br />• Sports Events <br />o Softball — Todd Steffen actively recruiting teams and will use <br />MidWest Events for sign ups <br />o Kickball <br />o Celebrity Kickball - Todd / Bill / Pete <br />o Running Race — Kerri <br />o Paddling/Canoe/Paddleboard Event — Pat Branch <br />- Safety Briefing with Bald Eagle Ski club, CLPD, <br />CFD <br />o Kids Abilities Kick Ball 5:00pm Friday <br />o Bean Bag toss Sunday 10-2? <br />o Committee discussed possible Boxing event, however city <br />ordinance prohibited it. The committee respectfully decided to <br />pass. This could still be an event at a different time/weekend <br />• Family Activities <br />o Inflatables and Petting Zoo — Lions — Friday night to draw <br />families for fire works <br />o Gold Star Carnival Face Painting/Balloon Guy/ Kiddie <br />Carnival <br />o Music — Tom Lee — The band Trout will play outside @ <br />Kelly's. Committee requests that Public Works staff help the <br />band set up tent/stage/orange fencing. City Council discussed <br />and agreed that volunteers need to be used for set up. <br />o Food — Lions <br />o Parade / Solicit Bands/Crunch — Jeff, Ben, Mike & Teresa <br />
