The bid included pricing for other locations in the City that are not a part of this project. If you wish to take advantage of this, your water service can be run into your basement and connected to your internal plumbing at this time. The water service would be directionally bored from the boulevard to the chosen location in your basement so you would not have any disturbance to your yard other than a small patch in the boulevard. The bid prices are reasonable and all costs can be specially assessed to your property over a period of fifteen years. If you select this option, we will provide you with a document that will outline the costs and on which you would express your agreement to be specially assessed. Of course, you could prepay the costs at any time. The estimated costs of the work breakdown are as follows: Boring in service, estimated 65 feet (additional Footage at $30/ft.) $1,950.00 Connections within your home (Flat rate)* $1,000.00 Permits & Coordination (Flat rate) $400.00 Connection to Curb Stop $1,400.00 Water Meter $400.00 Water Access Charge (Trunk System Charge) $1,850.00 Estimated cost $7,000.00 Estimate Annual Payment (If Assessed to Property Taxes) (5% interest for 15 years) $674.40 DEADLINE: In order to schedule all of these service line installations, it is important that we have as much advance time as possible. Thus, we must ask that you respond no later than May 30, 2014 if you think you would like to participate in this work. Please contact City Hall at (651) 429-3232 to have your name put on the list of those that desire to be included. Or, you may sign and return the enclosed post card. We will need to schedule a visit to your property to find out where the water meter would be located and to get a measurement on the total service line distance. We will then send you the connection agreement with exact costs, allowing you to make your final decision to proceed or not.
