Ordinance Amendments <br />Current Ordinance states "All property served by private water <br />systems must connect to public water, if it is available, no later <br />than 12-31-201'7, except that where water is made available by the <br />City after Januaryl,2013, properties served shall be connected no <br />later than 12-31-2021. <br />In 2013 the fee associated with well repair was increase from $500 <br />to $1,000. <br />City Code from 1987 states "At such time as municipal water <br />becomes available to existing homes or buildings, a direct <br />connection shall be made to such public system within a period <br />of time as determined by the City Council. If such connection is <br />not made pursuant to this ordinance, a penalty shall be levied in <br />an amount set by City Council Resolution. <br />
