<br /> <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br /> <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />TO CONSIDER A PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 154 OF <br />THE CENTERVILLE CITY CODE BY AMENDING LANGUAGE RELATING <br />TO PERMISSIBLE ENCROACHMENTS INTO FRONT YARDS <br /> THE PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE HELD BEFORE THE PLANNING AND <br />ZONING COMMISSION <br /> <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of <br />Centerville will consider a proposed ordinance amending Chapter 154 of the Centerville <br />City Code by amending language relating to permissible encroachments into the front <br />yard such as covered or uncovered landing place, steps, porch or stoops. These items <br />may extend no farther than six feet into the front yard setback if its floor is no higher than <br />the entrance floor of the building. The construction may not be enclosed in any fashion <br />other than an open railing no higher than three feet around said structure. The structure <br />constructed must be in similar quality and appearance as the principle structure and may <br />not have metal roofs or metal columns. <br /> <br />The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 6, 2006 commencing at 6:30 p.m. or shortly <br />thereafter. The purpose of the meeting is to ascertain public input regarding the above <br />ordinance amendment and the possibility of recommending adoption to Council for their <br />consideration and possible approval. The public hearing will be held in Council <br />Chambers located at 1880 Main Street, Centerville, Minnesota 55038. <br /> <br />The City Hall is ADA accessible. Requests for hearing assisted devices or a sign <br />language interpreter must be received before 4:00 p.m. June 2, 2006.
