City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />June 1, 2017 <br />Administrator Ericson state1 that he a Council1 1 attended r Local <br />topics.Government Officials Meeting where emergency management and transportation were <br />the <br />Council Member Koski stated that Mr. Terry Stoltzman and Mr. Jerry Striech discussed <br />emergency management and discussion was had regarding the Highway 97 interchange. <br />He also stated that a legislative summary was also given and that it was a very good <br />meeting. <br />Council Member Koski stated that an interested developer appeared before the Planning <br />& Zoning Commission to discuss a potential mini -storage facility which would be <br />approximately 8,000 square feet with eight individual units. He also stated that the <br />Commission discussed on street parking and current regulations. <br />Council Member Montain stated that the Parks & Recreation Committee welcomed Ms. <br />Heidi Grahek and discussed the Music in the Park series'. Mayor Paar thanked Mr. Tom <br />Lee for his efforts in organizing these events. <br />Mayor Paar stated that Transient Permits are needed to sell goods and services door-to- <br />door and residents are encouraged to hire contractors who are licensed, bonded, insured <br />and secure their own permits. Mayor Paar stated that the State of MN has a contractor <br />recovery fund that a homeowner can recover funds from a contractor is services are not <br />delivered or sub -standard. <br />Mayor Paar also stated that he and the Administrator attended a meeting earlier in the <br />morning with the Chain of Lakes Rotary Club. He stated that the members are <br />community minded and assist in making the communities a better place to work and live. <br />Mayor Paar noted that the Administrator recently celebrated his birthday and thanked him <br />for his service. <br />Mayor Paar stated that Mr. & Mrs. Jon Grahek lost a son in February and recently Jon <br />was diagnosed with cancer. He reported that Mr. Grahek has service on the Parks & <br />Recreation Committee and currently on the Planning & Zoning Commission. Mrs. <br />Grahek is now currently servicing on the Parks & Recreation Committee. He also stated <br />that they have a huge battle to contend with and requested that Council and residents <br />keep their family in their hearts and prayers. <br />R <br />
