City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />March 22, 2017 <br />Mayor Paar called to order 8:46 p.m. <br />VII. ITEMS OF DISCUSSION <br />1. Economic Development Authority <br />Mayor Paar informed the Council that this item is important and staff noted that it is <br />included in the 2017 City Council Focus Goals. <br />2. City Survey — Residents <br />Mayor Paar suggested a survey of residents and Council agreed to add this to the 2017 <br />City Council Focus Goals. <br />3. Water Connection Deadline Date (December 31, 2017) <br />Mayor Paar informed Council of this issue which has a long history with the City not <br />collecting connection fees from residents. Subsequent to discussion, Council directed <br />Staff to provide additional information for further discussion at a work session solely for <br />this item. <br />4. City Code, 150.30, Sump Pump Required <br />Mayor Paar desired to provide residents with a friendly reminder that sump pumps are <br />required to discharge to resident's rear yards rather than laundry tubs or floor drains as <br />the City pays for the treatment of that water. He desired to have information placed on <br />the Reader Board and in the Utility Bills. <br />This item was placed on the Reader Board previous to this meeting and will he placed on <br />the (March/April) utility bills forwarded to residents on May S, 2017. Staff noted that it <br />would also he placed in the upcoming newsletter. <br />VIII. ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member King to <br />adiourn the Work Session at 9:45 p.m. All in favor.
