Glaser, City Attorney <br />DATE: 8/23/2017 <br />RE: Request for part-time help <br />City Hall Staff request help in the form of a part-time, temporary employee primarily to assist with <br />building permits. The City has received hundreds of new building permits due to storm damage plus a <br />healthy building environment. Staff requests to employ a person in City Hall to assist with the permits <br />and other duties. This person will also add flexibility to staffing resources. The position can be <br />reevaluated or eliminated in the fall once building activity slows down. Income from the influx of <br />building permits will more than pay for this position. <br />• Up to $14.00 per hour <br />• Up to 20 hours per week <br />• Staff will submit a report to Council by November 15t to evaluate the continued usefulness of the <br />position <br />
