Counell Member King nnninted. <br /> City Attorney Glaser stated that Heritage Street residents were given special exception via <br /> Council resolution that being they had water available to them from the rear of their properties <br /> which would have been a considerable distance farther than from the roadway to the home, they <br /> did not have to connection to municipal water until such time as water became available in or <br /> near the roadway. Council chose to honor this resolution. <br /> ® COUNCIL& ADMINISTRATION ANNOUNCEMENT <br /> 1. AdminIstrator Ericson <br /> a. Demolition of 7281 Main Street-Waterworks <br /> Administrator Ericson stated that the old Waterworks building demolish has commenced, <br /> Mr. DeFoe has a new developer and it is believed that a concept would be forwarded to <br /> Planning&Zoning shortly. <br /> b. Peltier Lake Draw Down <br /> Administrator Ericson stated that there would be a meeting on Wednesday, August 5, <br /> 2017 regarding the proposed to draw down Peltier Lake again. <br /> Council Member King reported that he has received his laptop and has begun utilizing it. <br /> Council Member Montain stated that he would be attending the Anoka County Fire <br /> Protection meeting and participating in Night to Unite events. <br /> Mayor Paar thanked the Dupre family for displaying/sharing their antiques and artifacts <br /> with the community during Fete des Lacs for the second year. Mayor Paar stated that <br /> Intern Roberts is working with the Dupre family to preserve their history through a grant <br /> that the City was successful in getting. <br /> Mayor Paar questioned the modification to street lighting to LED lights as Centerville <br /> Road seemed to be lacking and how many had been completed. Mayor Paar clarified <br /> with the exception of the downtown lighting. Administrator Ericson will report back to <br /> the Council. <br /> Mayor Paar stated that he recently attended a Fire Steering meeting and reported that <br /> there will be a 0% increase in the 2018 budget. He reported that Chief Lundstrom <br /> understands the constraints and is very mindful. It is felt that decisions made to limit <br /> medical calls contributed significantly to the 0% budge increase. He also reported that <br /> discussions have been taking place regarding duty crows. He state that they will meeting <br /> again in October. He also stated that it is believe that the model of a volunteer fire fighter <br /> Page 6 of 7 <br /> 8 <br />
