Council/Committee/Commission Memberter Use Policy <br /> The Council reviewed the proposed policy that would govern the use of City owned computers <br /> that are on loan to city elected and appointed officials. <br /> Motionv ' a veff Member KingIgIgprove <br /> Contract favor. Motion Carried. <br /> 2. Concept Plan—Peltier Estates—P& Z Scheduled P.H. October 2. <br /> 2017 <br /> Administrator Larson reported that the Peltier Estates Developer has withdrawn his earlier <br /> proposal and has submitted a new development plan,this one is for 24 unit detached townhomes. <br /> The street would enter from 20'h Avenue and end at a cul-de-sac. This plan has significantly less <br /> impact on the wetlands. A trail would connect from the cul-de-sac across the wetland on a <br /> boardwalk trail to Brian Drive. P&Z will consider the plan after the public hearing. The hearing <br /> will consider a rezoning from R-1 to R-2, will consider the subdivision, and will consider the <br /> proposal as a Planned Unit Development. The issue of whether the street would be private or <br /> public remains to be decided. The Council should get a recommendation from P&Z by October <br /> 11, Council meeting. <br /> 3. Administrator Recruitment& Selection <br /> Mayor Paar opened the discussion by asking Council to identify traits and qualifications they feel <br /> are most important for the new City Administrator. Each Council Member in turn offered three <br /> suggestions that should be considered in narrowing the list of candidates for interview. The list <br /> included: <br /> Strong communicator that understands the needs of the staff, other government entities and <br /> residents; strong leadership skills; an understanding of the needs of smaller cities such as <br /> Centerville; proficiency working with business, growing commercial tax base and strong <br /> Page 3 of 6 <br /> 2 <br />
