<br />. Institute a Media Contact Program. <br /> <br />Regular contact with regional media will be critical to maintaining momentum and <br />membership. A program will be implemented to contact local and regional media on a <br />monthly basis through press releases, telephone contacts, and attempts at article <br />placement. <br /> <br />Cooperative Ventures <br /> <br />. Maintain active Participation with the Workforce Development Center. <br /> <br />Workforce issues continue to be a major issue in economic development. The Anoka <br />County Partners will maintain active participation with the Workforce Development <br />Center to ensure a direct link between the providers of workforce services and the <br />prospects. <br /> <br />. Assist with the Anoka Technical College Corporate Center. <br /> <br />The Corporate Center is a valuable tool for businesses looking to move into the county, <br />and for existing businesses with training and education needs. The Anoka County <br />Partners will work cooperatively with the technical college on marketing needs and in <br />linking job training opportunities. <br /> <br />. Conduct business training and development seminars. <br /> <br />The Anoka County Partners will continue to provide entrepreneurial seminars for persons <br />interested in started a business in Anoka County. These small businesses are vital to the <br />continued growth and prosperity of the region. <br /> <br />. Coordinate activities with Anoka-Ramsey Community College. <br /> <br />As is the case with the technical college, the community college provides education and <br />training opportunities for the region's citizens. The Anoka County Partners will continue <br />to work closely with the community collage on training issues, and provide a direct link <br />between the regions existing businesses, business prospects and higher education <br /> <br />. Participate in appropriate chamber of commerce activities. <br /> <br />Anoka County has five chambers of commerce. While it is not possible, nor should it be <br />encouraged to be an active member in all chambers, it is important to act as the economic <br />development arm of all of these groups. <br /> <br />~3 <br />
