City of Centerville <br /> Parks&Recreation Committee <br /> August 2,2017 <br /> Ms. Kerri Kolstad stated that the run was a success with 46, 5K runners and 48, 8K <br /> runners. She stated that a great time was had by all. <br /> 2. Tom Lee—Music in the Park& Park-ing Lot <br /> Mr. Lee was unavailable for the meeting. The Committee briefly discussed the <br /> possibility of not having music in the parking lot next year. <br /> 3. Mr. Pat Branch—Paddle des Lacs (No One Left Hungry) <br /> Mr. Branch gave a brief recap of the event and stated that assist from the Bald Eagle <br /> Water Ski Club was much appreciated and he felt the numbers were low due to it being <br /> the first year of the event. <br /> IV. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> 1. GAGA Pit—Review Bids Received for Heavy Duty Steel Corner Braces <br /> (Tabled) <br /> The Committee tabled this item. <br /> VI. NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. Movie in the Park <br /> Committee Member Peterson stated that he has been considering two different movies <br /> "Sing" and "Boss Baby". He stated that he was aware that the City of Hugo was showing <br /> a movie in their park and he desired to ensure there would not be a duplicate of showings. <br /> The Committee discussed additional items to attract additional participation such as <br /> offering raffles, trivia the sale of candy and juice boxes, etc. <br /> The Committee discussed playing North Metro Cable TVs Fete des Lacs City <br /> promotional video prior to the movie and Administrator Ericson would contact them. <br /> VII. UPDATES/OTHER <br /> 1. Council Updates —Council Member Matt Montain <br /> Council Member Montain updated the Committee on several City issues. Council Member <br /> Montain stated that he delivered the snow making machine to the Public Works Department. <br /> 2.
