<br />City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />December 19, 2002 <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated that there was a meeting to discuss the potential of <br />declaring a portion of downtown a historic district. She then asked for authorization to <br />have a survey sent out to allow those property owners not able to comment in public an <br />opportunity to express their opinion. She then indicated that she would compile the <br />results and report back to Council. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Capra. seconded bv Council Member Nelson to work <br />with Staff to prepare and send out letters to property owners in the proposed <br />district for recommendation and report back to Council. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. 1540 Peltier Lake Drive <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated she continues to see roll offs filled and taken away. <br /> <br />3. Capital Projects Update <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated he has given two extensions and is moving the rest of the <br />actions forward. <br /> <br />4. Building Pennit Fee Update <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that Staff continues to work on the building permit fee <br />review and noted Mr. Palzer was out ill and she was not able to obtain an update from <br />him for this meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated the new Council would need to look at fees the first <br />part of the year. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that the City would need to justify those fees to the state in <br />March of2003. <br /> <br />5. Pending Issues <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson indicated she had e-mailed Ms. Moore-Sykes today and asked <br />for an update on Council goals for this meeting. Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated she had <br />received the information but had only time for a quick list of major accomplishments. <br />She then handed out a list of 21 major accomplishments of Staff. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson indicated she was wondering how the list correlated with goals. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra announced that Anoka County has purchased the blue house on <br />Main Street and it is scheduled to be demolished but it has nothing to do with the road <br />being widened at this time. She further commented that, when the road proj ect goes <br />through, there is a need for a drainage pond in that area. <br /> <br />Page 11 of15 <br />
