<br /> <br />DRAFT FORPMT REVIEW <br /> <br />Freciuentiy Asked Question Document <br /> <br />When wiII County Road 14 be reeonstruetecl? <br />Reconstruction ofCotinty Road 14 is anticipated to begin in Spring 2006 with ~mpletion in <br />Fall 2007. <br /> <br />. . <br />When wiII improvements to the 1-35E interehange and the 1-35W overpass be completed? <br />CurrentlY. there is no schedule for improvements to the I-35E interchange or the I-35W ov~. <br />These future potential projects were carefully considered in developing the reconStruction design . <br />for County Road 14 so that County Road 14 could independently meet the study area's <br />transportation needs. It is important to reconstruct the I-35FJ County Road 14 interchange as the <br />next phase, possibly in 5 to 8 years. Improvements at I-35W are many years out. <br /> <br />When wiII landowners be contacted regarding right of way acquisition? <br />Once the County identifies the additional land that will be needed to reconstruct County Road 14, <br />including areas that extend beyond the edge of the roadway such as stormwater treatment areas, <br />the County will initiate the right of way acquisition process by contacting and meeting with the <br />landowners. This is anticipated to start in Spring 2005. <br /> <br />Landowners may contact Mike Kelly, Anoka County Highway Deparbnent, Right of Way <br />Specialist at 763-323-5521 with questions. The Anoka County Highway Deparbnent typically <br />does not initiate the right. of way acquisition process until approximately 18 months p;ior to <br />construction. <br /> <br />Will trees, shrubbery and fences be replaeed following construction? <br />The County will review impacts to trees, shrobbery and fencing on a case-by-case basis with the <br />landowners to determine an appropriate course of action. For purposes of safety, the County will <br />not allow ~bbery or fen~ within the area needed for tl1e roadway (right of way). <br /> <br />Will the reconstruction project include trans and sidewalk? <br />A trail will be constructed on the west and south side of County Road 14 from I-35W through <br />downtown Centerville. In addition, the existing sidewalk in downtown Centerville will be <br />reconstructed on the north side of County Road 14. <br /> <br />As part of the proposed improvements to County Road 14, the fishing pier on Peltier Lake is <br />proposed~,be relocated clO8e!' to the P~l!ier Lake boat I8uncIi. A new canoe landing and access <br />~-- are alSo proposoo to lie aaaea-in ffiij area as well as' a parking lot: These onJm>vements are <br />dependent on receiving additional funding.
